Just how many times do you hear of a 'Rail Replacement' service on a Heritage/Preserved Line these days? Just for a change today and to do another advertising stint as such, the Bramley Line 'arranged' a 'Rail Replacement' service instead of Track Clearing and it worked Brilliantly using the bus below and owned by a member who restored it over a 15 year period and single-handed. This is a Dennis Lancet, but I have no idea when it was first built, but I was a 'passenger' on it today and with Tremendous pleasure despite not being a lover of buses.

Here's a better view of the bus for you. "All tickets please?"

What a splended restoration job and a lovely vehicle to have, do congratulate the owner for his persistance to keep going all that time, no doubt with many problems, and a job very well done!

I treated myself today and bought another Model loco for when we restart running at 'The Club' again. I got a Green version of Mallard, my Favourite loco. Will get a photo of it and put on here later.

One Green Mallard. Please excuse background as that was the only space I could take it.

Nice looking engine and tender, Mikkel. However, I always think of steam engines as having these big chimneys.

Didn't know they painted it in green at some time mikkel? Nice looking engine and tender, Mikkel. However, I always think of steam engines as having these big chimneys. Big chimneys? Surely they have progressed more than this in Germany! ;D ;D

This livery and number were those first used when Mallard was built. I can't remember the year it changed to blue and 4468, but I do know, I now have 4 different models of it.
