I thought I'd start a thread we can all add to. I was delighted to discover my St Brigid Anenomes blooming yesterday ... I also noticed my large pot of double Freesias is heaving with buds but sadly all my mini Daffodils seem to be blind again this year.

That is so lovely, Sis, pretty as a picture. I've tried so often but never had any luck with Anenomes, so thanks for sharing yours. Re your blind daffs - when the green has withdrawn, lift the bulbs and let them lay until the autumn. To be honest, I've never had any luck doing that, but I keep reading it, so it seems to be the thing to do. Try it and perhaps you will be lucky and have them bloom next year.

Thank you Victoria for the lovely quick fix of spring colour, it made me go out and have a look to see if anything has come through and to my surprise the old faithful Crocus is just putting in an appearance: I don't know about anybody else but I have gone right off of white! ;D

Lovely and cheery, DAG.
I seriously doubt that anything is blooming in our garden yet, but the snowdrops are coming along and have lots of buds.

Lovely colour, Linda.
I think I see ours finally coming along after all that snow. The snowdrops are getting ready to open. I must get out in the garden with my camera.

Thanks for sharing Linda, I always consider Crocus in flower as the start of the gardening season. My late father's front garden used to be full of them and always gave me such a nice welcome after a long winter.

Was just out in the garden - lovely and sunny this afternoon but still cold - and took the first pics of the snowdrops -

Lovely Crocus DAG and Linda, and what a wonderful clump of Snowdrops you have, Sis. We moved my large pot of Freesias to beside the back door last night so there will be maximum impact when they open. Shall photograph them then.

Just espied my first Freesia blooming under the Oleander. A clump appears to be coming up through the Scented Geranium and the stems must be 60cm tall! I don't remember having any there before and only planted new ones in pots. On the other hand, my five Cyclamen would have been blooming for months and there is a very poor show this year ... Sadly I'm losing some of the Bromelaids with all this rain even though it's warm ... I thought they'd think they were in the Rain Forest. The Billbergias are loving it though and both pots have been giving magnicent shows.

Lovely pics with brilliant colours, Sis. I just love yellow Freesias as they smell so heavenly. Pity I've never had any luck with them, be they yellow or any other colour.

Thanks Sis. I do so love it when the sun remembers where I am. I weeded the sand garden today after brunch on the patio and then read in the sunshine for a couple of hours. My Pissardi Plum and Osteos and Freesias were enjoying the sunshine also.
