Having had several weeks of glorious sunshine, I somehow managed to take the following photographs before the heavy rains and thunderstorms hit last night and the rain continued throughout today .... so everything ain't as purty as it was yesterday ... In front of the house with Osteospermums and Euryops pectinatus ... And my Callistemon viminalis is the best it's been yet with what must be at least 100 brush blooms ...

As always Victoria, your displays are magnificent and much appreciated especially at the moment when it has so suddenly turned cold here today! Thank you for sharing!

Everything looks lush and colourful, Sis. Sometimes I think back of how it all looked not too many years ago - aghhhh!!!! - and how it looks now, like your own private Paradise. Lots of work put in but it is worth it. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks DAG and Sis ... xx It's such a shame it didn't look like this when you guys were here in January .... I feel so sad about that .... Why do I always say 'in front of the house' ....? ... there is ONLY in fronrt of the house .... The rain is battering everything again but the soil and plants are loving it ........... him up there above ....

Well, here's another angle 'out front' today ... the Bottlebrush will soon be gone in this onslaught of heat, 26c today ... But the Salvia are loving it and all coming into bloom. Although the Jacaranda looks a bit nekkid in the background it is covered in buds.

Ooooohhhhh!!!! that is glorious! Pity it doesn't stay like that for the whole summer. There are a lot of them around this area in Florida, all in bloom at this time, too. I think they must have been THE thing to plant quite some years ago as they are all small trees now, some even planted in groups of 3 or 4.

All looks lovely Victoria, such a contrast to when I saw it in January. But then it was such a contrast to the snow back in England at the time.

That bottle brush has done well Victoria, I assume you are now entering your most colourful season.
And its hotting up down there, which I hope means that we, up here, will also get warmer, to a lesser degree.

Thank you Sis, DAG and Pete. Yes, Pete, Spring/early Summer is our best .... Here are my heavenly scented Sunseeker climbing roses today in the morning sun against my Lantana hedge ... ... and my lovely Salvia border .... The Jacarandas are coming into bloom ... so that's for June viewing ... guess they are blooming there too Sis? I just finished a book set in Fort Meyers and it said they bloom there for two weeks only ... true? .... here it's a month or more and it said when the blooms drop there are no leaves on the trees, but ours get theirs as the blooms develop!

Jacaranda looks good as usual.
The Iochroma is a nice addition.
