I found this large frog in our water butt today. He'd obviously fallen in and couldn't get out, so I rescued him and put him into the pond -  |

I found this little toad in the garden recently. Unlike frogs, toads are slow and it's easier to get a decent photo.  |

Thanks Alfie. Unfortunately, the poor thing died today.
It seemed better around 10am, it had moved to another spot and I gave it another shower out of the watering can. When I checked again just after 1pm, it was dead. Hubby dug a hole and I buried it.

I don't know why, but I can't stand the sight of these, yet while digging out a friends garden pond on Tuesday, I discovered plenty of water ............................... and frogs galore. YUK! Even though I don't like them, I will never hurt them, but had I got my new camera there, I could have got some good photo's. I will try next time I am over there for you.
