Mikkel, I felt the same way as you, but about 4 years ago, as soon as I filled up my little pond for the first time, within a week there was a large frog in it who stayed for about a week. We got used to seeing him and I think he got used to seeing us. Then he crawled off while I was watering the lawn one day and I never saw him again.
Since then I have felt different about them.

Looking forward to seeing some pics taken with your new camera, mikkel.
Hopefully some frogs, but they will soon be going into hibernation if it continues to get cooler. Having said that, it was quite warm and sunny over our way today and I saw lots of little frogs in the garden. They were the ones from this years spawn so think they will remain in our garden this winter, then move on next year, returning as adults to spawn in their home pond.

Much to my regret, this computer will Not allow me to use the new camera to upload photographs, so I have another two plans to try and one is via the laptop of the Bramley Line I have here and will connect to the Internet hopefully tomorrow and then post them on here. I tried taking the disc from the new camera and placing it in the older camera, but it just showed up as FILE ERROR on the screen.

Oh you are so lucky, I don't blame the frogs for visiting your pond as it is so large and lovely! Terrific photos kedi, you are a star!

Great close ups. She could end up with two or three more coupled to her.

Early last evening, the frogs finally arrived in our pond, not counting the pair that turned up about two weeks ago. Today I found another couple in a tight embrace on the lower patio. After taking some pics, I carefully picked them up and put them into the pond.

Some time ago, I mentioned on this forum about some mystery holes that had apeared in our back garden. Yesterday, I finally caught the culprit making another. and here it is. I was clearing the mass of weeds from this fence and there it was watching me. (Yuk!)

Caught him at last! Not sure what it is, but looks like a toad to me?

That is what I immediately thought, too, DAG, a toad. I don't think frogs burrow into dry soil like that, but toads do.
Well, I am glad that you have solved the mystery, Mikkel, and that you had your camera ready, too.

Glad you found out what is making the holes in your garden Mikkel, it looks very much like a toad to me, he'll help to keep your garden clear of bugs etc
