Great pics kedi and Alfie, seems there is no shortage of frogs this year but alas I don't have a pond any more so none for me!

Well having read my last post I was so surprised to find a couple of toads in my garden while working, well I think they are toads as they seem unable to jump, even to escape.

Great pics, DAG, and they do return to where a former pond was. We had that happen for years after our small one was filled in and the Wintergarten built over where it used to be. They even tried to jump through the window, time and time again. ;D

You are quite correct because they were still there this morning, seems to be their territory so I have now got used to watching them while they are watching me working! ;D

Ooohh, the Tree Frog is soooo cute, easytiger! I think the second one is a toad, isn't it? Nicely marked fella. Sis had a similarly marked one in her garden a year or two ago, I think it was ID'd. She'll be able to check it when she comes by here.

I found this little Oak Toad in the garden yesterday. It is the smallest species of toad in the United States and the maximum length is 1.25 inches.

How cute! It amazes me that such a small species can survive when think how vulnerable they must be. Purely down to camouflage I suppose.

Peter found this little frog when he was watering the garden today. I think it looks like it has golden eyelids.

I found this quite large frog in the garden yesterday in my "woodland" area. He hopped away towards the pond - - then decided that Peter and I were too close to him and tried to bury his head in the soil. It was as if he was saying "I can't see you any more, so you can't see me either!" ;D ;D

;D ;D It's a bit like when kids cover their eyes and you have to say "where's he gone"
