70013 is now going to be doing Main-Line work from what I understand. I posted the above before going and because I was in 'The Office' when I got the message. I went in the afternoon and to some place called Dagenham. ;D

It doesn't seem a year ago that when track clearing on the Bramley Line, one of the 'Bramley Boys' found this shed hidden in the shrubs and so cleared the area around it to look like the picture below. There is a second version of this same picture and with 'Booking Office' on the facia board area of it for one total idiot who has been retired longer than me and wanted to reopen the line, but run a commuter service along there because he didn't get elected as Chairman at the 2006 AGM. Sadly, this was the sight that greeted us today and again cleared most of it away again.

As promised Dag, a sneak into our MRC signal box, but I DO apologise for the quality of the photo's. I don't use this camera so much and now I have moved to digital, but still did what I could. The first picture shows 'The Bobby' pulling a lever, plus the different instruments on his panel. The second picture shows the interior of the box from the opposite side and slightly blurred. I know you are going to ask what I mean by 'The Bobby' as referred to in this, so to enlighten you, I will explain. Many years ago, 'The Bobby' as the signalman was termed, was at one time, classed as the Railway Police, and seeing as coppers were known as Bobbies, so the signalman got the nickname 'The Bobby' on the railway. Whenever I had an occassion to call a signalbox, I would refer to the signalman as 'Bobby' and they would recognise the fact I was a Railway employee.

An update on both Bramley Line and Model Railway Club for you, seeing as I have been neglecting this somewhat of late.
Bramley Line is still trying to raise much needed finance for the Legal Fees now that we have raised the capital required for the lease. Track Clearing had to be put on hold for a few weeks due to weather and members having other commitments, but now back with a Vengance. Next month, I am to give an Illustrated Talk to a Group of Ladies and as always, looking forward to doing it.
As for the Model Railway Club, we are now working on the extention for the layout and by some 8 feet, so there will also be a small amount of re-siting to be done after we also had to re-lay some track and points that were causing a few problems. In the last couple of weeks, we have been booked to attend an Exhibition in September next year. What a difference we will be able to show people? Directly I get some up to date photo's, I will get them on here, but it will be a few weeks just yet.

Take a look at the expression on this rather Special young lad's photo here when allowed to operate a Remote Controlled train on a garden Layout yesterday. Pointing towards him, is the owner of not only the railway, but the premises where the Wisbech Model Railway Club meet, and the President, without whom this would not have been possible. The young girl is the lad's sister and in the background, their parents.
