I like that idea, DAG, having them grow as grapes do. The nipping out obviously doesn't apply to this variety. Well done.

The nipping out applies to all varieties, but I think our weather here is getting better than historically as it was traditional to only get about 4 or 5 trusses and after that there would not be enough winter sun to rippen them so it was better to nip the top out and concentrate on what was left.
Of course in earlier times most people didn't have a greenhouse which makes a lot of difference as tomatoes are not native to this country and so helps a great deal.
