What a fantastic shot, Robert! Well done. You can see that not all of the wing feathers are opened up in the display mode (if that is what it is called). I thought they were. Very interesting.

We can all take pictures of swans, but what do you think of this process?

What did you do, Robert? The water looks interesting, but the swan has a dirty neck and head. That is probably not what you wanted to hear and I'm sure I'd like the original better. Sorry. We're still friends though, aren't we?

Not sure what to think Robert as I don't know what the original looked like in the first place?

Its my attempt at being a tad artistic... Its called the orten effect and is just another way of manipulating images. But.. I do appreciate your comments.

Can we see the original then Robert, so that we can judge what it does more accurately?
I am more interested in the effect that it has on the water, I like that but confused about the effect on the swan. It seems that the swan has a hole in its neck so that you can see the body behind but it can't be? Must be a piece of the image that has got copied over and lines up by shear coincidence?

I can't see the hole in the neck, DAG. Do you mean about 1/3 down? Looks to me like the feathers are laying differently than the rest of the neck.
