Sorry Robert but I'm not keen on the edit, but there again I'm not really a fan of HDR etc, although HDR can create some stunning images.
I see what you mean Dag I think it's just a trick of the light and shadows.
I would also like to see the original to compare them side by side

This may not have been a lake, but what a Golden Opportunity I had to get this photo today of a female as she stood up to move the eggs around and all six of them? The male was just a bit higher up the bank on the other side and out of camera shot. I am pleased to say, it never made any attempt to warn me off and away, but then I did move slowly and quietly so as not to frighten them.

Oh, great shot, Mikkel! You don't often get to see that and you were not only lucky to get this shot, but also that neither of the swans didn't go for you! Perhaps you can go back again in a few weeks and we can see the babies after they hatch? for sharing with us.

At this moment in time, I will be keeping an eye on these twice a week, unless I have to be elsewhere, so will get whatever photo's I can. I will not divulge where this nest actually is and for obvious reasons.

I had intended to check her out yesterday, but a mate did so and informs me this Beauty has in fact laid 9 eggs, so we are both keeping watch on her and different days/times.

Looking forward to seeing a pic or two of the cygnets when the time comes.
I wonder if they will all hatch and the babies survive as that seems like a very large brood for swans.

Very nice little video clip kedi, I wonder who is at the front and rear of the cygnets, I bet the mother is in front making all the decisions and poor old dad trots along behind! ;D
