Folks could you please enlighten me with regard to these bargain husbands or ones on offer for quick sale; 1) Have they been trained in the basics and have 20 plus years experiance because its so very hard to train them I don't think I could start from scratch again. 2)Can they get on with DIY jobs by themselves or do they require careful observation? 3)Do they need a special diet or will bread and water do?
Finally are they house-trained? This is very important because us ladies all know that the males of our species are very messy indeed! ;D Hel.xxx.

Hi Helen I must admit mine's not to bad he's had 37 years of training and only needs a small reminder now and again ;D A gentle kick or two gets him started on either DIY or gardening and a big stick keeps him there, As for his diet he eats pretty much anything except anything you suggest and would live quite happily on either eggy bread or cheese on toast. He does his own car repairs, walks the dogs, feeds the cats, looks after our fish ,never hogs the tv remote, doesn't mind me watching Football or Pro Bull Riding and has been known to make himself generaly useless, oops sorry. I mean usefull ;D ;D On second thoughts perhaps I could do worse. I think I'll keep him and rent him out buy the hour could make a fortune.

How much do you charge for an hour, Letitia? I am still waiting for one of the upstairs room to be laminated. Have had the laminate in for a year now, it's just laying there clogging another room up and making it look untidy. Peter bought the laminate for the whole upstairs, but as said, still waiting for this one room to get done. Told him he could leave the very last room but I want this other one done finally. The neighbour offered to help, he and his wife want to have it in their bedroom and he's never worked with it before. He'd help Peter to do this one room and see how it is done, then Peter would go over and help him. Perhaps things would get moving if you could spare Alfie to come over.

Alfie says if you have plenty eggy bread and cheese on toast he'll set off tonight. How's Peter on carpet laying? For the last 2 years I've had my new living room carpet in a roll on the stairs Perhaps we could arrange an exchange visit ;D ;D

No, you do NOT want Peter to lay your carpet down! He measured wrong when we bought some for in the dining room, wouldn't listen to me to get a few centimeters more. So now I have a bit tacked on on one side and it looks awful I should take a pic to show you as it has to be seen to be believed. We'll have to find some other job swap. ;D Plenty of eggy bread and cheese on toast, so no worry on that account.

Oh dear, you ladies, this conversation reminds me of an old radio programme called 'does he take sugar' which says it all in the title.
I don't know if you are old enough to remember that letitia? ;D

Helen, do you get the feeling that we have kind of lost our way on this thread, we started out with gardening projects and ended up with eggy bread! ;D ;D ;D
