Ah, ha ... well done 'Daughter' (is that Claire?) for those Blackwork embroideries ... quite delicate, the glamourous 20s lady and just love the fairies which seem to have sparkles on them.

Just realised that this cross-stitch has been overlooked so I best add it here or I shall be in trouble from Arney! ;D

Lovely, Arney, well done, but then all of your cross-stitch work is. The weather might not be so great in England at the moment, but all these people on the beach (where - Southend?) are enjoying great kiting weather.

Kedi...............I am surprised that you don't recognize Blackpool Tower, being so close to North Wales. ;D

Ann is most impressed with the cross-stitch Arney, she does a wee bit but not as big as these.

Ann & Alfie, that is just a small/simple one compared to the one she is working on now which she started in January and it will still take another month at least to complete. Anyway kedi, Ann & Alfie thanks for your comments, she could do with some praise today after being so very, very naughty!

I didn't really think it was Southend as I can't remember seeing a Big Wheel or Tower on your pics of Southend Pier, DAG. Then, too, I've never been to Blackpool and I'm from South Wales.

Oh, that is very pretty and what a lot of work it must have been with all of that detail. Well done, Arney! I love the colours in it, so fresh and spring-like and the hat looks rather like the straw one I bought a last week.

Thanks Kedi. It started as a Welcome to your new home for Claire but when I realized that she and Neal were serious I thought it would symbolize them starting a new life together. Claire always used to wear straw hats like this which is what attracted me. My first x cross stitch was 'Through the garden gate' which I gave to Claire when she asked for it. It's the most confusing one ever-so far as there are any number from 1 - 6 threads with some of the same colours having a different number of threads.
