I'm glad that you finally decided to post these up on Mother Earth too, DAG. It doesn't matter that you yourself didn't make them, I also posted some handiwork done by close relatives, so it is all still in the family.
I know that our members will enjoy seeing all of these beautiful hand-made items.
I've seen these several times and still love looking at them, they are so exquisite. Thanks for sharing.

Mrs.DAG said "Actually it was pretty simple to do, and I enjoyed every stitch, it took about 3 months!"
Mr.DAG said "It was a nightmare trying to frame it as the clock mechanism has to poke thro' the cross-stitch material and of course there has to be enough room for the hands to move, then there is the padding to take into account and all that still behind glass!" ;D

I think this is the cutest of the cute ones. The adoreable little hedgehog and mouse with their coloured boots Well done Mrs DAG and Mr DAG too. I know you enjoyed the challenge the framing posed, DAG ;D

Mrs.DAG has just finished the HMS Victory for me. This cross-stitch has been the finest, fiddliest one she has ever done! I am thinking of placing it behind this ready made oval mount, what do you think?

No, if you ask me. It is a ship and this needs some place and room. To me it seems to be caught in some prison in this oval mount. I'd leave it in just a frame. Leave the impression you can sail away whenever you want to.

I entirely agree with you iska, but Mrs.DAG really wants that oval mount to be used and despite the fact that I suggested it was too small, she still would like it to be used, it's her hobby so who am I to argue! ;D

Sorry Dag I've got to agree with Mrs D I like the oval mount best. Letitia is wishing she has the patients to do cross stitch. She's pretty good at the cross but not at the stitch ;D We've looked at the ones you've put on here and they are all beautiful.

This is a masterpiece - extremely well done, Mrs DAG! I've looked at this latest cross-stitch several times and wondered at Mrs DAG's patience and perserverance too, Alfie and Ann. As to how to frame it, I just don't know! I think it would look nice with just a plain frame but it the oval cut-out frame is equally nice. Sort of like looking through an oval bug-eye.
