It is very cloudy now and dull but this is much more like the real colour of the Johnson's Blue.

Thank you DAG, that is lovely .... like little fairies playing in the breeze ..
Oh, that Johnson Blue is so striking. I had them in Bucks but not such a beautiful big clump.
Hope the dogs don't ruin all the Love-in-a-Mist!

Beautiful and it is like a fairy garden. Yes, great Looking Up photo, doubly so as the fairy is looking up as well.

kedi, yes you are right, never thought of that because she is not looking up, just straight ahead but of course from down there it looks that way. Linda said she is not a fairy and her name is Dawn. ;D

Experimented with my camera before it got too hot out there today and as there are no manual controls I tried using the single spot focus setting and think this is an improvement. I will call this flower 'Triffid 1' as kedi sent the seeds from Florida and thinks that they are called Gallard or Galliard but I couldn't find anything on Goggle for it.

Beautiful flower Dag , Kedi's triffids are called Gaillaradia aristata or Blanket flower, I was going to grow mine this year but I don't know where the seeds have gone ( I think Ann must have put them away somewhere safe ) ;D ;D Must find them in time for next spring. Alfie

That is lovely. DAG. Ours didn't bloom this year, think it didn't like being transplanted, fingers crossed for next year.
Thanks for ID-ing the Triffid flower, Alfie. I've made a note and shall put it on my pics as I'm bound to forget it again. Hope you find your seeds, or I can collect more when we go over soon.

Thank you Alfie, kedi and Audra, kedi sent me some Monkshood plants last year and they didn't seem to do too well the first year in our clay soil but now they have adapted and getting nicely established.

At last I caught the true blue-ish colour of the Aubretia but only when it is in the shade, the camera still can't get it right in sunlight. The Aubretia is gradually taking over the rockery area which is fine by us, just wish it would keep in flower a lot longer. But I must try and get some other colour here by the time it is no longer in flower.
