I guess he sheds his skin so often because he is still growing. How old is he now and when will he be grown up? I wonder how often he will shed then.
He does look grumpy on that one photo!
I love your neat signature, Windy.

That'll be the third time he's shed since I got him at 5 weeks old on Valentines Day...can't work out how old that makes him until I've had more coffee!!!!! He really didn't like me handling him the other day, he was hissing and wriggling like Hell, and boy are they strong!!!! Because they instinctively run to the highest point, when I picked him up he ran straight for my face and boy do his little feet scratch!!!! He's probably 3x bigger than when I got him and I reckon he's now about 5" long and about the same of tail. He can potentially grow to 2ft long nose to tip of tail, but will need a much bigger viv if he gets that size!! Will try and take some pics later...but he's still not my friend and every time he saw me yesterday he opened his mouth real wide at me...

My god i wouldnt have one of these as a pet then dont fancy him by my face or my body come to that. or wriggling and hissing..or growing to two foot long. Very interesting to watch though he must be nearly 4 months old thenwell he has grown a lot in that time. suppose they live to a great age as well ??

Yeah I agree with your Mum, I think you've got enough to be going on with!!!! Chameleons aren't exactly lovable, they hate people, which is why I like him so much!!! A Beardie would be a good place to start reptile wise...must confess I'm hooked!! Seriously considering getting a Blue Tongued Skink...they like being handled so would be better for my kids (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!!! Anyways, here he is, doing his yoga... And this was him last week, bunged in a houseplant while I clean his viv out. Not a Happy Chammy... And yesterday, back to his old handsome (yet grumpy-faced) self...

Agreed! wonderful pics - even if he looks permanently grumpy! Perhaps they all wear this expression, what do you think?
You didn't answer - how long do they live?

Sorry KG, they can live up to 8 years in captivity, but less in the wild. He's still not happy with me, tried to feed him one of his fave waxworms off my finger yesterday and he hissed and hid in his vines. Don't think he's going to forgive me for handling him in a hurry!!! He really is as grumpy as he looks!!!
