I found this monster this morning when I went to saw some logs   He was on the saw bench so I hurried back to the house for my camera only to find he had vanished, I found him hiding under the saw and managed to get a few pics before he scuttled off under the logs Alfie |

It's a common lizard Robert although these don't appear to all that common, this is the first one I've seen here in all the 32 years we have lived here.
He was somewhere between 3 an 4 inches long Dag

While clearing some old bits of wood and weeds from the compound where I want the farmer to dump the farmyard manure I found four of these little chaps fast asleep under a plank. I picked them up and moved them onto a pile of wood that won't be disturbed until the summer, luckily I had my camera with me so managed to get a couple of picks before they all scuttled away to hide again.  |
