There are umpteen recipes for this, everyone having their own and swearing by it. The proper way to do it is in a slow cooker or in the oven on a very low temperature, but some people do it in a rush on top of the stove. I don't weigh or measure anything in my recipe, just do it by "some of this, a bit of that, ......." Chop some bacon or left-over ham into small pieces and fry lightly. Add a fairly finely chopped onion to the bacon. Add a little water and simmer until the bacon and onion are tender. Add a good tablespoon of brown sugar. Salt and black pepper to taste. A good pinch of Coleman's Dry Mustard. Mix well. Add a tin of baked beans and heat thoroughly. Voilá! A lazy person's Boston Baked Beans and do they ever taste good.
