Lovely Robert really enjoying seeing them grow, it will be better if you get the new camera in place as it will cause less disturbance. Alfie Quite agree, I would certainly do that in the circumstances!

Lovely, and their eyes are open today. I bet they are getting fed up with this "feeder" who never brings anything though. ;D

I spotted Daddy Blackbird taking tadpoles out of the pond today. Very clever to see him do it, a good fisherman, iI hope he does not take to many as we need some frogs for next year. And also spotted he does not like starlings in the garden. Plenty of agro on show when they turn up.

It's so interesting to see the progress the chicks make day by day. I almost expected to see the one at the back, the one that kept preening, try to fly already when he/she spread and flapped it's wings!
You managed to hold the camera very steady, Robert, and the chicks were in clear view, have you now put a ladder there so you can climb up and see properly? Well done and thanks again for sharing this with us.

I mounted the camera on the 6 foot bamboo as usual and positioned it as best I could in the branches and just left it there for about 10 minutes. I was lucky with the positioning today. Still waiting for my new camera.

No video on day 9. I just could not get the camera in the right position. At least the babies did not seem to mind the camera at all.. It would have helped if they did as I can pinpoint the position of the nest. What glimpse I did get shows they are still healthy and growing amazingly fast.

If all goes to plan I expect them to be ready to leave in about 9 / 10 days. With a bit of luck the new camera may arrive by then.

Glad to see that they didn't get blown away in the wind up there in the Vale, Robert.
