I've copied this over from your Gallery, Alfie. Made these the other day, used an egg and milk wash to give them a nice glaze ( they tasted lovely ) Alfie Re: Shiny bread Here's the recipe for the bread 500gr Strong bread flour 1 tbls Sunflower oil 1tsp Salt 330ml Warm water ( not hot ) 1 Sachet of yeast Put the water oil salt and flour into the food processor bowl ( fitted with dough hooks ) then add the yeast on top of the flour, mix for about 3 mins until the dough becomes elastic and starts to stick to the bowl. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for a couple of mins then place in an oiled bowl and cover with oiled cling film and stand in a warm place until doubled in size, then knead again for about 3 mins shape and place in a greased loaf tin cover again and leave to rise. place in the oven for a few mins to form a light crust then remove them and brush with beaten egg mixed with a little milk then return to the oven and cook for about 30mins, remove from the tins and place onto the shelf for a few mins until the loaf sounds hollow when tapped. Then drool until it's cool enough to eat ;D ;D Alfie

I made the bread and it was delicious! I don't have 2 bread pans so just formed the bread and put the two loaves on the baking sheet. I first flatten one out with my fingertips and then scattered mixed candied peel and chopped dates over and then rolled it up. We have just had some for afternoon coffee. Peter liked the one with the dried fruit and peel best, I liked them both. Also, with some of my own jams and also just with butter. I took some pics (twice!) but the camera is acting up of late and I also took bad pics as I didn't get the settings right.

Oh that does look good too, will have to give that some serious thought! Your pictures look perfect to me kedi, well done on the pictures and well done on the bread!
Looks like I shall have to make sure the tyres on my bike are pumped up and it is well oiled!
