I'm not very good eating bread .. haven't been for about 12 years so I eat little of it but can eat my own cornbread (Mexican Recipe up here) and I found today and made a Rye Bread recipe ... 1 1/2 cups rye flour 1 1/2 cups plain flour 4 heaped teasp of caraway seeds 1/2 teasp salt 1 tblsp baking powder 1 tblsp olive oil 2 1/2 cups water Heat oven to 190c (375F). Mix dry ingredients. Add water and oil and thoroughly blend. Pour into a bread pan (I used a silicone one) and bake for 55 minutes. I have discovered these silicone ones need more time so I cooked mine for 1 hour and 15 minutes and it was still 'too moist' but absolutely delicious toasted. We shall try it with rosemary next time. So quick and easy but the timing in the oven is difficult for us ... as it is in the bread maker.

That sounds good (and easy!) so I'll try it out when we get to Florida and start longing for some decent bread again. Having said that, I did find a shop on our last trip over that sold quite nice bread.
