The Battle of Britain memorial Flight, or BBMF for short, consists of an Avro Lancaster Bomber, currently the only one flying, a Hawker Hurricane, also known by their pilots as 'Hurribuses', and the Supermarine Spitfire, my favourite of the three. On Sunday, I had what I can only describe as Absolutely Tremendous pleasure in seeing the Lancaster when it did 3 flypasts over Holt, Norfolk, as part of the North Norfolk railway's "40's Weekend" where if Anybody didn't enjoy it, then that was entirely their own fault, because there was fun for Everyone. I Do apologise for not getting a good close-up of the Lancaster, but when you have literally seconds get your camera focused on it, I sadly couldn't do better. Had I waited until the 3rd run, and instead of trying to video it, I would have got a much better photo.

Thats Anns all time favourite plane. The highlight of our holiday for her a few years ago was when she was able to stroke it . ;D ;D ;D We were at RAF Fairford at the air show in 1993 when the two Russian Mig 29s crashed for a while it looked like one had landed on the Lanc . That would have been a disaster
