That looks very yummy, mummy, it looks to us like a cross between what we would call cinnamon swirls and Chelsea buns, both of which we are rather keen on, so maybe try that sometime.

I was also thinking that they sound very familiar, DAG. Just checked in one of my cookbooks (The Dairy Book of Home Cookery, British book), and that is where I remember them from, having made them often when PV was small. Called Spice and Cinnemon Rings in this book. I've seen them elsewhere called Danish Cinnemon Rolls. Having now seen yours, Audra, I think I must make them again very soon. Mmmhhhhh!! I can't say that I have ever seen karo / white corn syrup over here, don't know about in England. You can get pecans only on the very rare occasion over here in Germany, so I always substitute walnuts for them. I've never put nuts on them when I used to make them, but shall do so next time. We still have some own walnuts in the freezer (wonderful flavour!) that would go very nicely on them. Thanks for jogging my memory, Audra, and also for your recipe.

I have never used walnuts in this recipe but they would probably work okay. Not sure what you would use in place of the syrup. Maybe pick some up the next time you're in Florida and take it back with you?
These are melt in mouth good and also good warm with melted butter drizzled over them.

Audra, Arney, Letitia and I just LOVE lashings of butter. We also butter to the edges of our bread.
The three also love gallons of gravy over our food, even our potatoes (Alfie, are you listening?). Did you not read what cheeky Alfie wrote? He asked DAG if Arney had a life jacket on when she ate her mince!
Even though I said he was cheeky, I admit to having a laugh at the mere thought of such. ;D ;D

Printable version now available......see below image. Apologies for taking so long but it was on the end of a long list of things to do! On top of that it took me several days to work out and remember how to do it! But it is not simple and involves using the following programmes: Open Office Adobe Photoshop Adobe Acrobat Webs.com Website Always the things that look simple are the most complicated! ;D
