The bottom twists around? Is it to do with juice?

The bottom does twist around, yes.
Nothing to do with juice!

Is it a twist for closing and opening? Like a herb, or salt or pepper pot?

I think I should have made that clearer............it is a screwtop for opening and closing but not for herb, salt or pepper.

Well, it's not flat or smooth ... the plastic mold has a decorative pattern. I'm thinking we could be looking at the bottom because it radiates out from the sides and making the top circumference wider than the bottom .... although my son says he doesn't see it that way ...lol. But I'm trying to pictures threads on the clear plastic part and that is not working for me because the thickness of where the red plastic and the clear plastic meet look the same. OK ... I'll have to think more on this....

;D Jeanne, you are trying so hard that I have to reward you with some help! The view is only of the bottom of the object where the storage area is, the working part is above it and out of view. The storage isn't really all that relevant.
