Fantastic! I think they are all very good photos Audra, and as for the first 2 images....I love that effect and one day I would like to attempt to paint that if you have no objections.......but can't say when?

Yes, the first two are my favourites as well, but also the third from last one. I love the sun and shade and the dusting of dew drops of the first one, quite exquisite.

Thank you very much for the compliments. Having seen the pictures you both have on here, it means a lot. I have no objections Dag. If I could paint I would try it, but alas, painting is not one of my talents.

Audra, Lovely roses. Are they from your yard? I know what you mean about "once you start snapping" .... you do fall in love ... Glad you became hooked .... and glad you can share your pictures with us!

Thank you Jeannerene! Yes they are all from around my yard here. It can be a battle here to raise flowers. They get froze by temps that drop to zero and below, battered by strong winds, baked by triple digit heat, pummeled by hail, and covered in ice just when they thought it was safe to come out in the spring, like these peach blooms that were caught by surprise by the fickle Kansas weather and found themsevles incased in ice.

Think my fave is the third from last one but they are all beautiful you seem to have some extreme weather over there. Alfie

It's a wonder that anything grows and thrives with all those bad weather conditions, but thanks to your perserverence and TLC, they do.
What kind of peaches do you have? Some of us are all into red ones.

Once you get around the weather, things grow quite well here. We have excellent soil and that is one of the reasons we are the bread basket. But most people don't realize what the farmers go through to bring those crops in.

Taken as the sun was setting. Everything else was in shadow but this rose caught the last rays that poked through the trees. It didn't come out near as clear as I would have liked, but I still like the picture.
