Really beautiful Jeanne, do they smell as lovely as they look? for sharing! .... yes, I'd like to know that, too. For some strange reason, I always think that candy-striped flowers smell, but whether they smell or not, I am a great fan of all candy-striped flowers. The first photo is especially effective with the shadows, well caught.

Thanks Dag, Kedi and Audra ....
The top picture .... the pink rose is the most fragrant .... and my bush was started from a cutting from one of my grandfather's rose bushes ... my grandpa used to breed roses as a hobby and the picture of the pink rose is named "jeanne rose" which of course he named after me. He never patented any of his roses .... he just did it for fun.
His chrysanthemums were to die for .... and some of the largest I've ever seen. His peonies gorgeous. My grandpa's house was on a corner ... he had two lots ... and strangers used to stop and knock on the door just from the flowers/plants in the front yard and ask if they could see the back yard. This happened all the time.
The white rose is pretty fragrant too. Actually the picture above of the white rose is from last year .... maybe two years ago. This year my white tree rose produced so many roses that is started to tip over and I had to cut most of them off. I had vases of white roses in abundance.
