Our house snake

We have a fairly large Black Racer snake (they can get up to 6' long) that lives in our garden and now and then lets us have a glimpse of it. Peter saw it the other day and called me to come and bring my camera. We think that there were two or three of them having some fun, we definitely saw two heads at one point, but I only managed to catch the head of the biggest one, in the first photo.

Nice to see different wild life.

I guess they move fast?
Is that the reason behind the name?

Yes, they move fast, so I considered myself lucky that this one / these ones stayed still long enough for me to get a couple of shots.
