Thanks DAG, Sis and Alfie.
Must admit that both Peter and I were surprised and thrilled to find these beautiful flowers growing in our garden. There are some other gorgeous ones that I am not sure the name of, I'll post them up in the Tropical ID, must first upload to PB. They remind me of a flower that you like, Sis, but can't remember the name of it.

As a consolation, Pete, yours will be blooming when mine are long gone.
What colour(s) do you have?

yes I hope so Kedi. This is a pic from a couple of years ago, they became overcrowded so I had to sort them out a bit.

Oh, Pete, I do like them.
My candy-striped one rotted in our wet winter and my red one was really weird ... it had split stems all the way to the bulb and there were two stems to the one bulb. I have pics and will put them up on my return from my birthday/castle break next weekend.
