I am lucky enough to hear them on average 7 days a week, as I get so many visit the garden. They are also my Favourite wild bird for whistling here.

Tonight (Tuesday) while visiting a friend, I stood less than 3 feet away from a MALE (STUPID FORUM WOULDN'T LET ME USE THE TRUE WORD) Blackbird and very much to my pleasure.

Because the weather was so nice today, I sat out on the patio reading, when a Male Blackbird came down within 6 feet of both Rusty and me, yet Rusty never made any attempt to see it off again and I felt So pleased he didn't. I started talking to the bird and did so for a few minutes before it flew away and possibly to feed his family. I would Love to have one land on my hand, because to me, they Are a Very Beautiful Bird.
