Whichever it is it is lovely, Sis. I've not seen blooms like that so I'll have to leave it to Pete.

I've just remembered a name - Bismark Palm. Have seen them around "our" area of Florida but have never seen one in bloom. Here is a link I looked up - bismarckpalm.net/Pete, I wonder if this would be something for you to add to your collection?

I dont think its Bismarckia kedi, it looks more like a male form of Trachycarpus fortunei to me.
Its basically hardy to about minus 12C or less.
I know in your pics it has a blueish tinge like Bismarckia, but I think thats to do with the lighting. I might be wrong, so you can tell me so if I am.
Bismarckia is "something else" in the palm world and very tender for growing over here. My one plant just did not grow, even in the conservatory.
