Lovely photos Robert, were they all taken at the same Butterfly Farm and are they natives to this country? We never realized before the fantastic shape of some of the wings as well as the colouring and patterns. For sharing!

They are all tropical and it was loverly and warm in that butterfly farm, and the colour on that second one was the most wonderful fluorescent blueish / purple

Beautiful photos Robert, can you remember where the butterfly farm is situated as it looks as though it would be worth a visit the next time we visit Johnnie.

This is the place. Not exactly a big concern when we were there, but there are other attractions in the valley and worth a visit. A hydro power station is also open for visits. www.magicoflife.org/

I love butterflies Robert .... and as I have long hair I have many butterfly clasps/grips, some crystal studded costing a few bob or two ....
Your second, third and last looks perhaps like the Swallowtail which I get here but are now quite rare in the UK. I shall try to remember to look yours up when I have time.

Thanks for the info Robert , will probably have a look when we're down to see Johnnie. There's a nice one at Dobbies garden centre near Edinburgh although we've not been for a long time. Alfie
