A while ago for a birthday treat myself and son spent some time in a Boeing 737 simulator. We had to practise engine failure on take off, Landing in thick fog and a few other emergency situations. I have to report all passengers survived and we came away feeling satisfied with days events. Just a few pictures from the day

Well, this thread was very well hidden and I just came across it by chance. Sorry about that, Robert.
I don't have to ask if you enjoyed yourself as I am positive that you did and enjoyed every minute of it. Is you son such a great plane fan as well?

Well I certainly never saw this thread, and glad that you found it kedi and I would think that you and your son had a field day there! Is there an attendant sitting behind you and keeping an eye on things or do they just shut you in and leave you to it? Well somebody had to take the photographs as I assume that the person in the other seat is your son?

Good morning. Thanks for coming back to an old thread. Thats me on the left. Captain in the right seat and my son took the pictures. We then changed places and started again. I spent hours practising on my PC flight sim flying in and out of Leeds Bradford airport before I went for the real simulator. It was great. motion in all directions, sound, spot on, Maybe the video outfront was not the best but the skill is flying on instrumants, landing with one engine failed and 100% fog.! Fun...

;D ;D It might have been fun for you, Robert, but it sounds like a nightmare to me. Still, the consolation is that being in a simulator, if you crash it isn't bad as you can always have another go.
