That is awful! That upsets me, too, makes me want to cry. If it was up to me I would say "an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth". Of course, and unfortunatel, you can~t do things like this any more, but something drastic should be done when these wicked people are caught. Linda, the link is taking too long to open here, I~ll read it when we get home on Tuesday afternoon.

There are some nasty people about, I hope they catch who did it, but if they do the chances are not much would be done to them.
Do they still kill thousands of seal pups in Canada every year? We dont hear much about it anymore.

Yes, had no problem opening it last evening here at home, Linda. I think it is the fishermen who did it, you keep hearing about them griping about the seals, dolphins, etc, taking the fish they are after. As if the poor animals should stop eating just so the fishermen can get full nets. I for one am willing to eat less fish / pay more for it and do so by checking that tinned and frozen fish has the Marine Stewardship logo on the tins and packets. Unfortunately, you can't see it on fresh fish. I must remember to ask the fishmonger next time.

Did they ever find out who killed the seals? It's just horrid ... I hope that they had luck in apprehending the criminals.
We had a similar incident where I live about 4 years ago where someone ran over purposely several ducks that live near a creek that runs through town. The ducks have lived there for ages and can be seen frequently crossing the streets and waddling around the city in one particular area .... exactly where someone at night purposely ran over several of them. They never caught who did it .... I guess it is pretty much impossible. How can some people be to cruel?!
