These trees look absolutely gorgeous when in bloom and when they start dropping their flowers, there is a beautiful carpet underneath -

This is a different sort than down in Portugal near Sis. These flowers are singularly on the branches and down in Portugal, they hang in clumps, sort of like grape clumps. But both are real eye-catchers and I agree with you about the colour being gorgeous.

kedi these ones i saw on sky were in america they are just lovely i think they also come in other colours do they

I don't know about them coming in other colours, Linda, have only ever seen them in this colour. Perhaps I have seen them and just didn't recognize them as Jacarandas?

hi kedi im pretty sure they come in pink, white and lemon unless as you say its other trees ive seen

I'm just saying that I only know of these blue Jacarandas. You don't perhaps mean Frangi Pani ? - they come in the colours you mention and they are in bloom now too.
There is a yellow one here in the garden, I must still take pics of it, then I'll put them up.
