I have a digital microscope which I have had some succes with. Can be tricky to get the best out of it but fun trying. Some of the following pictures I have posted over on GC but I believe If you have not seen these before you will find them interesting. These first five I took as I dismantled an old wasps nest from a bird box. This little critter put on a show during the summer All those eyes...all the better to see you with! Wasp waist The stinger The bumble bee You know those little black seeds in a kiwi fruit? These are them Cabbage white eggs Haed of a mealworm The bottom of an apple One of my favorites, A pea tendril wrapped arounf ? Tomato leaf Hope you found these picture interesting

No I have not seen them before Robert and I find that absolutely fascinating! Not sure what I am looking at in the picture 'bottom of an apple', at first I thought that was a wasp eating the apple? ;D Looking forward to more Robert and just thinking about having a combined section for both Macro and Microphotography.

All of your microphotography that I've seen so far has been extremely interesting, Robert. Numbers 2, 3 anf 4 of the wasp series could be straight out of a horror movie of aliens hatching, great shots. I love spiders, so your European Garden Spider would have to appeal to me. Brilliant shot of the bee's tongue and face, just above the kiwi seed pic. And who would have thought that the kiwi seeds looked like that? The pea tendril one is good, I think it looks like a butterfly caught up in it. The tomato leaf looks like it has ice crystals on it. - well done, Robert, and looking forward to seeing more. BTW, great idea of having a Macro & Microphotography section, DAG.

I love looking at these pics, even the ones I've already seen. I guess the last are aphids, but whatever they are, they look rather cute here in their pink colouring.
