I bought the bulb last spring when we were in Florida and I think it did very well in its first year. Hopefully it will do even better this coming year. It is now in the Wintergarten for the winter.

nice plant Kedi.
i'm sort of new to these myself.
Alocasia, colocasia, I'm still unsure which is which, but it seem the alocasias need dryer growing conditions.
I have a couple drying off now in my garage, I think cold coupled with dampness is not good overwinter and can cause rot.
But I'm only learning on these at the moment.
Ohh, just noticed this is a 2008 thread.
So how did the plant do this summer?

It didn't do as well this year as it did last year, Pete, but it was due to us being away so long and many upsets here because of a certain neighbour.
Yes, I agree about cold couple with damp not being good, I noticed that last winter. I think keeping it dryer would be the thing.
