I bought this just a few weeks ago in Lidl for only €1,49 and it has been blooming now for a few days.

The first bloom is about gone but a second one developed overnight!

It was worth having as it lasted a long time.
I took it down to Sis in Portugal when we next went in the car in the hope it would bloom a second time. I must ask her if it did.

Intresting plants Kedi, I've only tried this once and it died on me after flowering.
I think I overwatered it, and it rotted off.
Another bromeliad, so perhaps best kept a bit dryish at the roots but sprayed a couple of times a day.
But who am I to say.
I killed mine. ;D

Oh, I forgot to say that only one of the purple flowers opened at a time, but as soon as one was gone, another appeared and it went on for a long while. The blooms appeared from between the pink bit.
I had mine on the kitchen windowsill, it faces east, and I didn't water it much.
Sis, did it bloom again this year or did it die off?
