Thanks for the comments Kedi, Linda and Dag, here's the original to compare as you can see it was taken with the sun almost in front and I think this is what makes it work the way it does.  Alfie |

Yes, playing with curves certainly gives a surreal effect, but for me it seems difficult to control.

It's Lunapic, isn't it? I haven't done anything there for a long time. When I did, I liked this feature the best. It's especially effective with this night scene and colours, just love it! Thanks for sharing. |

I don't know what has happened but both pics have gone and been replaced by something else so I've deleted them just now and will try to sort things out later
