3lb Cooking Apples, 1lb Onions, 2pt Good Vinegar, 1Tablespoon Mustard Seeds, 2 Teaspoons Dry Mustard Powder, 8oz Sultanas ,1lb Sugar, 1 Tablespoon Salt.
Peel core and chop apples, peel and finely chop onions. put in a large pan with 1 pt of vinegar, add mustard seeds (either loose or in a muslin so they can be removed later, I leave them in) Cook until tender. Mix dry mustard with the rest of the vinegar add to pan with sugar ,salt, and sultanas. Stir until sugar is disolved .Simmer until thick, remove the muslin, then pot into warmed sterile jars. Store for at least 6 weeks to mature.
You can add more mustard if you like Good with cheese or cold meats
