Got this recipe from SIL yesterday ,I have got a pot on stove.
25g Butter 1onion chopped 1 large potato diced 1-1/2pints veg or chicken stock 225g Brussel sprouts or tops
Salt and fresh milled pepper.
Melt butter in a pan,add coppe donion an dfry gently for about 5mins till soft an dtender.
Add potato and stock and bring to boil then simmer for 10mins.
Then add to blender .
Then enjoy with nice crusty bread.
Well its real frosy morning so soup on go early.

sounds lovely that got some brussel sprouts so will make it yummy

It reall was yummy but not enough so next time would make a larger pot.

Sounds good, Scotkat.
I often make a Brussel Soup in Germany. I leave the onion and potatoes out most of the time, but always add carrot (about 1/3rd carrot to 2/3rd sprouts). Salt and pepper to taste and thyme, yes, thyme! Sounds weird but it gives the soups that special tang.
The recipe I use calls for a smoked sausage, too, but since you use stock, you can leave it out.

skotkat i made the soup its lovely wish i had added some carrots and maybe sweetcorn would of been nice in there next time i make it will do that,threw a few mixed herbs in it, anyway it was very nice
