This window-cleaning tip was on the packaging of some curtain rods that I bought over here. I remember my Auntie using vinegar and newspaper years ago, but she didn't put it in a spray bottle, which I think would make it easier and quicker.

To wash windows, use an ammonia-based glass cleaner, or try a natural solution.
Mix 2 cups water with 1/4 cup vinegar in a spray bottle. Spray glass and dry with newspaper.
If there is a build-up on the windows from a commercial cleaner (some contain wax), add 1/2 teaspoon dishwashing liquid to the mixture and repeat.

I still use vinegar and newspaper KG a tip from my Mum passed from her Mum .
You can also wash wooden furniture with vinegar .
Have used it in toilet pan with a litte drop of your faourite essential oil.
