Worried about SD card storage for you camera while on holiday?
Believe it or not the new Wi-Fi SD Flash Memory Card (same size) has built in wireless electronics to send your camera pictures straight to your Photobucket album (or to whoever you wish), without the need for a computer!
Just pop into MacDonald's or any Internet hot-spot, or normally be within range of your own router and when your camera is switched on it will be uploaded automatically.
The new card is about £60 (ouch!):

Personally I think I will just stick to my regular 4GB SDHC card but eventually they will become cheap enough especially as you will only ever need one of course!

Seems like a good idea Dag but how do you determine where your photos are sent to. and at £60 I think I'll just stick to my scandisk 256mb compact flash cards and download to the laptop when we are on holidays. As you say once they become popular the price will come down.

They do say that it is all secure and I think you have to set it all up on your computer for the first time only so I don't think there is a problem there.

But all of the pics would go to PB, wouldn't they?
I'll also just stick with my usual card, DAG, I always use 4GB HDSC ones, too, and have a spare along on holiday just in case I can't download.
Yes, I remember you had that problem in Goa, Linda, and had to wait until you got home.

Kedi, the pics will go to wherever you want to send them. You could also send another copy to Google Picasa or Tinypic for instance so you would have plenty of back up. It can all be set up once to do it automatically.
I would imagine that in a few years time, cameras might have that facility built in anyway so no need for a card. There you go, just bought a new camera and it is obsolete already! ;D
