Arney's recipe:
Forget normal yoghurt or apple pie flavour this recipe has a distinctive flavour of its own.
Quantities are as for a normal apple pie.
1. Cook apples without sugar, strain and leave in fridge overnight.
2. Add sultanas and sugar as required.
3. Mix up approx. half a cup full of Demerera sugar and cinnamon to taste.
4. Line pie dish with shortcrust pastry and add apple/sultana mix.
5. Sprinkle sugar/cinnamon mix to cover apples (this is important).
6. Then spread plain natural yoghurt on top.
7. Cover with pastry lid, finish and cook as normal.
Note: Stage 5 acts as a filter to prevent the yoghurt from sinking into the apple mixture, thus it does not curdle.

That sounds both absolutely delicious and easy to make as well! I'll definitely try it out - and guess what I'll have with it? ;D

Wipped cream, he he! ;D
Well I don't think that it needs anything with it, the yoghurt layer does the job so there is no need for cream or custard, I doubt if cream would go with it anyway but each to his own as they say! ;D
