This is the second year that we have containers in our driveway with pumpkins and squash growing in them. I think it looks quite attractive with the coloured geraniums above the three different types of pumpkins and squash. The one on the left is a Hokaido and it has several fruit in spite of a late start being planted outside. This is the largest one, somewhat bigger than a tennis ball -

Yes, they are the Hokaido pumpkins and there is a third small one hiding amongst the leaves.

Well, the pumpkins in our driveway have really gone to town! Not only the Hokaido but also some other ones. One is a Butternut (a very pale one) and the other is an Acorn. This is the biggest of 4 Hokaido - A different view of it showing the green on the bottom - The Acorn - An unknown one that looks like it is going to go bad and fall off - The pale Butternut. Quite a good size already and there is a small one behind it - Then this little Butternut out back in the garden -

They look lovely Kedi, we had one shaped like the green one except it was yellow along with our dinner last night, very tasty.

Thanks Alfie. I think the green Acorn one is the one I am not so keen on, like other sorts better. I bought a Delicata one just before we left Florida and it was delicious! Small and not big but so yummy! Here is a good winter squash link, the Delicata is on it. www.foodsubs.com/Squash.html I saved some seeds from it, I'll send you some if you want to try it next year. If you haven't moved, then I still have your address. ;D
