Congrats on the allotment, Linda! I am looking forward to seeing the first pics on Wednesday. Then more of the progress of everything. Have you started thinking what flowers, plants and veggies you plan on growing? Also the sitting area ..................... Goodness, what a lot of things to organize all at once! How is it with water there? I hope there is a tap nearby so you don't have to lug it far. As to raspberries on your side - take care! As delicious as they are, they do have the bad habit of spreading everywhere, same goes for blackberries. My raspberries are taking over the whole of the Berry Patch here, so I intend to take them all out. The blackberries are in one of these huge black builder tubs and they look OK so far, but the branches are now leaning over on to the ground and I think they can root like that too. So am doing away with them as well. I don't want to put you off, it is just a warning. Perhaps if you get one of these huge pots and sink it part way into the ground (don't forget the drainage holes in the bottom), you can keep the raspberries in check. Good Luck with it, Linda!

thanks kedi, firstly i have to remove all the weeds and dig it over, top half sitting area im having grass layed and my shed, have an arch halfway, then deciding on flowers, want a cottage garden type and climbers, montana for my arch and up the side near shed im having more clematis, honeysuckle, jasmine and hollyhocks and poppies would be nice, im also buying a camping small stove and kettle to make coffee, ive got a large wood table and chairs and a lovely pink umbrella, then im having some coach type lights with candles in them, im thinking a gazebo would be nice over my table and chairs. its going to be a lot of hard work and money ;D but will be great having a nice garden area then bottom my veg patches, going to look at greenhouses would be nice at bottom. will see were these rasberry bushes are when i go up on wednsday and take pics to show you there is water at the allotment so will check that out when im up there
