I sure hope they are comfortable. These two pictures were taken earlier taken I think on Wedesday. Today, Sunday, when I checked they were both still there. Mom Dad ... you can just see the tail .. I could have this backwards. Mom could be dad and dad could be mom

Just catching up here, Jeanne.
Lovely pics, and what a good idea hanging old baskets up for the birds to use. I have a couple up in the attic, but I wonder if it might be too late in the year for the birds to need nests? I must make a note of it for next year.

Thanks Kedi and Dag,
Hum ... let me count ... I've got 6 basket hanging under my eaves in the backyard and every spring/summer at least three of them get used by the sparrows. This is the first time that the doves have nested in them. I still think the basket at the end of the house looks like a very precarious nest ... but she must have good balance.
My cats go nuts ... they can't reach the baskets from outside, but when they are inside and the birds are chirping away... especially in the mornings ... my kitties jump up on my dressers. A constant battle with their curiosity.
Kedi I'd give it a try ... it really is cool listening to the birds move around and chirp so close to the windows.
