There are no end of these caterpillars in a shrub in the garden here and they have chomped about half of it up already. Peter was going to remove the shrub as it is invasive, but now he said that the caterpillars have taken care of it for him.

The caterpillars have eaten up the whole bush and are now crawling around trying to find another leaf to munch on. Finding none, they have started abseiling down and are crawling around on the grass now. This (flowering) plant is right next to the shrub that the caterpillers have completely eaten up, but they haven't even had a bite of it - they use it as a toilet!

They are little beauties Kedi, something I can't understand in a garden for every type of plant you plant there are several pests that will either kill or eat it , how come nothing seems to kill or eat the weeds. ;D Alfie

;D True enough Alfie! ;D
I suppose the answer to that is that the weeds are mainly the only true native plants.

Seen below is a Caterpillar I have never seen before, until yesterday that is and apologise for the blur of the photo, but I did take it close up and with a thorn in my back from the tree I had crept under to take it. You can just about make out a leaf on the ground (bottom left and with black base to it) that has thorns on them and the Caterpillar is Mid green with white lines along the body.

No problem with your caterpillar, Mikkel, I saw it immediately. As DAG said, neither of us could find anything on the net.
