I have read in the news that an 8ft Python has allegedly strangled and bitten a 2-year-old girl after 'Escaping' from its terrerium and into the girls bedroom where the attack took place. The owner Never even had a prmit/license to keep one.

In our newspaper, it was stated that the poor child was killed!
I really can't understand that people keep such things as pets, especially when there are children in the house.

I was, but would rather have Yvonne for the simple reason she cuddles where a Boa might have a crush on me. ;D

For the first time in over 50 years today, I saw what I know as a Slow-Worm, but it sure wasn't moving very slowly. It must have been a good 2 feet in length and I have to give credit where it is due and to my mate who spotted it just ahead of us while on the Bramley Line following a bit of track-clearing today.

Oh, I've never seen one either and I didn't know that they grew that big. I wonder where the name came from if they can move so quickly?

I have seen plenty of them, all in my father's garden and usually about 10 to 12 inches long, didn't know they can grow as long as that.

I DO Apologise folks, but after checking it out, it turned out to be another Grass Snake and the second one I've seen about the track.

Seen in the Homosassis Springs State Park - Southern Copperhead Snake - Water Moccasin - - video - Yellow Rat Snakes - This unknown is not a snake but it was in the Reptile House and there was unfortunately not a name tag on it -

I see a snake swallowing a rat or mouse, what am I missing then? I don't know either, and I've even used the magnifying glass in action. Perhaps something wrong with the snakes head?

Right beside the adder's eye, is a Bluebottle, that didn't deter it from eating the mouse.
