Yes I tryed this last year with a larger wire basket but had to wire it shut to make a ball but it was too heaving to hang so stuck a pipe in centre and it was like a ball in flower on the ground. Plus I filled with fresh moss but the birds take the moss. This basket has clips around to close and it is sold as a pair and called a hanging ball. It would be nice with busy lizzies or pansy and even begonia.

i cant come all the way to dundee, my daughter has just moved from there shes come back home. i will keep my eyes open for one in garden centers up here
