In the garden section of yesterday's newspaper, I read that you can eat the leaves of Oxlip (Primula elatior) and that just one leaf provides more Vitamin C than a whole head of lettuce! I knew that various flowers can be eaten, but had never heard of this one. So I looked on the net and came up with this - Edible Parts: Leaves. Young leaves - raw or cooked in soups etc. They have a mild flavour and are available in late winter. Found it here - www.pfaf.org/database/plants.php?Primula+elatior
