I've been collecting fossils for around 7 years now. My first teeth were tiny sand tiger shark teeth, now I have around 60 fossils in my collection from tiny ray teeth to a 10cm Megalodon tooth. Initially, I collected dinosaur/reptile fossils as well but I sold them off to focus on sharks and their relatives. Here is a few of my collection... The largest of the lot, Carcharoles Megalodon: Dusky Shark: Chimera: Imprint of a Nemacanthus dorsal spine: Cretoxyrhina mantelli: Petalodus: Stethacanthus And one of my personal favourites, a bizarre tooth from the scissor-toothed shark, Edestus: There's more and information on the fossils on my website www.freewebs.com/silversharkfossils/index.htm

Wow they're fascinating...are they similar to our teeth in composition? Enamel and what have you?

Yes they have an enamel covering like our teeth but they don't have roots like our teeth do so the sharks teeth fall out much more easily making it easier for them to be replaced.

I use a few suppliers and sometime browse eBay. Mostly I use Buried Treasure Fossils now.
